Battens
The properties of connection of built-up members may be specified in this window. The fundamental input is the "Spacing L1" that represents the distance between the lacings or battenings. The following setting is the type of connection. The design standard contains in the chapter 6.4 two types of connections: "Battens" and "Lacing". Battens are specified by the height and width of their cross-section, lacing by the geometry and the cross-sectional area of bracings.
