Nordlund
The Nordlund method was developed for the calculation of driven piles in cohesionless soils. In the case of a combined geological profile, the calculation of the bearing capacity in cohesive soils is carried out according to Tomlinson theory.
The calculation of the vertical bearing capacity of the pile is performed according to the theory described in FHWA Standard GEC 012 - Design and Construction of Driven Pile Foundations - Volume I (July 2016), where all procedures are explained in detail. The calculation results in a pile base bearing capacity Rb and a pile shaft bearing capacity Rs.
